Google has decided to launch a new project called The Endangered Languages Project, which aims to protect and save languages threatened by extinction. The number of languages it is looking to document is more than 3,000 threatened.
Google has taken steps to combat this problem to reduce cultural diversity and to give people the opportunity to be familiar with those languages.
The site provides users with a map with colored dots according to the language status where orange represents endangered languages, green represents the languages in danger, while the color is red to the endangered languages. When a user clicks on one of these colors, All data about the language name, the approximate number of speakers, and audio formats.
Although Google is behind the project, it will be managed by technicians and language conservation experts.
